Fiesta on Wells is an annual street fair celebrating Latino culture in Reno. KUNR reporter Natalie Van Hoozer stopped by to learn more. 

Wells Avenue is known for its Latino restaurants and businesses. For this event, the street is lined with booths for nonprofit organizations and vendors.

Their tables are piled high with leatherwork, brightly painted crafts, and food.

Students are about to go on Spring Break. But a lot of students go on family vacations throughout the year. Lesly Virgen-Mariscal of Reno Youth Radio recently went on vacation and it had her wondering what kind of burden that puts on her teachers.

I had a great time visiting my family in Mexico recently. It was for a family party where my grandparents celebrated their 50 year anniversary and renewed their vows.

For the first time in 15 years, Reno-Tahoe International Airport will actually have international service. A new nonstop flight to Guadalajara, Mexico is tentatively set to begin by the end of this year.

Spokesman Brian Kulpin says the airport hired an outside company to study the economic impact of the twice-weekly flight. The study found it would bring an estimated $20 million each year to the region.
