News Director

Reno Public Radio (KUNR-FM) is looking for a hard-working, talented News Director to join our news team in this full-time position. The News Director is responsible for newsroom operations, news-related personnel and resources, and all news content, which requires proficiency in current digital technology for editing sound and producing web and social media content. While ensuring quality journalism and high ethical standards, the News Director must demonstrate skill, innovation and leadership in planning, coordinating and executing daily and weekly tasks; writing, editing, producing and broadcasting professional spot news reports and features; and producing public affairs programming.

In addition, applicants must meet these minimum requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution 
• At least two years of radio news experience or 1 year experience with a masters degree
