Firefighters Gain Ground On California Wildfires

Updated at 3:45 p.m. ET Fire crews were starting to gain the upper hand on numerous blazes in Northern California that have killed at least 41 people and destroyed thousands of homes, but officials warned that the deadliest wildfires in the state's history were far from extinguished. Selected local interview segments will air on KUNR Thursdays at 6:35 a.m., 8:35 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.Interviews were conducted between pairs of everyday people in StoryCorps' MobileBooth, an Airstream trailer outfitted with a recording studio. Co-sponsors include the University of Nevada, Reno; City of Reno; Plaza on the River; and Nevada Humanities.
