Classical Music
Airs Monday through Friday evenings beginning at 7 pm
and overnight midnight to 5 am Sunday through Saturday
(Except on Wednesday evenings,
when it begins at 9 pm following The Music of America)
In addition to the Classical 24 program, KUNR also broadcasts classical music in various forms Sunday evenings from 11:30 to midnight (locally produced) and on Sunday mornings with St. Paul Sunday at 9 and Sunday Baroque from 10-noon.
Classical 24 is produced in association with American Public Media (APM) and Public Radio International (PRI) as a classical music service. What sets Classical 24 apart from other classical music programming is its local feeling due to its live hosting.
The multiple, talented and knowledgable hosts generate the programming live from the studio and then transmit the programming via satellite to KUNR in real time. It airs evenings and overnight Sunday night through Friday night on KUNR.
