Whatever the concern, Reno's Crisis Call Center is ready to listen

Crisis Call Center logo

The Crisis Call Center in Reno takes confidential calls and texts 24 hours a day, more than 40,000 contacts per year. And no crisis is too small to make the call, according to Justine Hernandez, confidential campus advocate at the Crisis Call Center.

Hernandez was interviewed on KUNR's Beyond the Headlines by David Stipech (air date 4-17-15).

In addition to a discussion of Crisis Call Center's confidential call support and outreach services, the interview previewed the center's activities related to Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April.

While some activities on April 21-22 have already taken place as of this posting, the Crisis Call Center is a local training resource for the Green Dot sexual assault prevention program and it supports the national Denim Day on April 29 to promote sexual assault awareness.

To reach the Crisis Call Center: 24/7 Crisis Hotline  775-784-8090  or text "ANSWER" to 839863.
