UNSOM Health Watch: Diabetes Diagnosis, Treatment, and Management

November is National Diabetes Awareness Month. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, it is estimated that 29.1 million people in the US have diabetes. This week Dr. Veronica Brady discusses causes, and treatments for diabetes.
 

Brady is an advanced practice nurse and certified in diabetes education in the Endocrinology Division of Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. Leading the discussion is Richelle O'Driscoll, Director of Public Affairs at the School of Medicine and Division of Health Sciences.
