A company called Capstak announced this week that it's relocating its headquarters to downtown Reno. As more details emerge, let's check in with our contributor Brook Bentley of the Northern Nevada Business Weekly.
Capstak is an online meeting platform for commercial real estate professionals. It helps them find deals, source capital and identify both business partners and service providers.
The company actually used the Reno market to launch a beta product of its website, and now there are plans to launch Capstak nationally next year.
Capstak is currently operating out of the University of Nevada, Reno Innevation Center and is working to build an employee base in Reno.
Company leaders anticipate adding 25 jobs in the first year with an average annual salary of $50,000. Long-term goals include creating more than 100 jobs in Reno.
