Interview: How Artown Got Off The Ground

The City of Reno Artown Festival is in full swing with over 500 events happening this month.  Artown began 20 years ago as an effort to attract locals to downtown Reno and it has been wildly successful since day one.  Danna O’Connor has a look back at how the festival got underway and how it's evolved with Christine Fey from the City of Reno Arts and Culture Commission.

Danna has been with KUNR Public Radio since 1995. She started as a weekend announcer, then full time jazz host and in 2008 became the local host for NPR’s Morning Edition.
