Interview: Is Donald Trump A Demogogue?

www.donaldjtrump.com

The platform of Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump is built on some controversial ideas, like building a wall between the U.S. and Mexico and deporting millions of immigrants who are here illegally. Some of his ideologies have been compared to Hitler's, and more and more, we hear him described as a demagogue.

"Even when politicians in the past 25 years have not shown equal respect, for example, using code words for race, at least they've pretended to," explains Yale Philosophy Professor Jason Stanley. "Donald Trump is the first politician we've had who is not even pretending to engage in Democratic practice."

Stanley recently spoke at the University of Nevada, Reno and he also sat down with Reno Public Radio's Marcus Lavergne.

Marcus Lavergne is a former on-air host at KUNR Public Radio.
