THE COLLEGE OF LIBERAL ARTS IS SORRY TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE FEBRUARY 11 FORUM FOR EXCELLENCE LECTURE HAS BEEN CANCELLED AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED. SPEAKER NAOMI KLEIN HAS LARYNGITIS.

While the summits take place and debates rage on over climate change, some wonder why America hasn't made more progress as a global leader on this front. Bestselling author and journalist Naomi Klein says U.S. capitalism as it has evolved today is a major reason.

"This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs. the Climate" is her latest book and the focus of her presentation as the featured lecturer at the upcoming Forum for Excellence.

The Forum for Excellence  is presented by the University of Nevada, Reno's College of Liberal Arts.

With the cancelation of the Feb. 11 event due to the speaker's illness, the college is looking to reschedule this lecture in the near future.

Klein was interviewed by phone from Toronto by David Stipech on KUNR's Beyond the Headlines (air date 2-5-16).
