Reno City Council voted Wednesday on a controversial change to the city's logo. Reno Public Radio's Julia Ritchey reports.
Council members approved the rebranding campaign, part of an effort to boost the city's image.
The city will adopt a secondary minimalist logo depicting an octagon with a single letter "R" inside alongside the tagline "Biggest Little City." The logo will cost about $234,000 to implement.
Abbi Whitaker co-led a grassroots effort to overhaul the logo. She defended the campaign against critics.
